The Stamford Symphony Concert scheduled start time for this concert has been changed to 7pm  (original start time: 8pm ) due to forecasted weather.
At the Stamford Symphony & the Palace Theatre our guests’ safety is our primary concern. Therefore, due to the forecasted inclement weather, this performance of OSCAR Goes to the Symphony has been adjusted with an earlier start time of 7pm , and the performance will run through without intermission, for an earlier departure time.

Meet Ted Sperling (Click on the video link for his personal message)

Ted Sperling is renowned for his work in the worlds of musical theater, opera, symphonic work and film scoring. He is a 2005 Tony and Drama Desk Award winner for his work on the Broadway musical, The Light in the Piazza, and is the musical director for My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center TheaterMr. Sperling is the Artistic Director of MasterVoices, a performing arts organization in New York City that produces concert presentations of operas, oratorios and rare musical theater works at Carnegie Hall, New York City Center, Lincoln Center, and other venues. Mr. Sperling has conducted many of the major orchestras in the US and abroad, including recent performances with the San Francisco Symphony, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, Chicago Symphony, Iceland Symphony; he was principal conductor of the Westchester Symphony for six seasons. Mr. Sperling started his symphonic career as a violist and assistant conductor for the Stamford Symphony in 1983, and had the pleasure of returning last season this season to conduct performances of Handel’s Messiah.
